Often piles are installed below ground level to support lower built structures. When supporting lower built structures on piles, you will want to trench, allowing room for the piles as well as void form. The void form is extremely important to the stability of your structure as it creates a gap between the soil (which can expand and contract with changes in climate and moisture) so that the ground isn’t pressing up against your structure’s foundation.
Our equipment is versatile and effective for installation of screw piles but also designed for excavation. We have a 15″ wide bucket capable of digging up to 9 feet deep. Therefore, we are able to trench customers’ properties with relative ease. As a value-added service, we have provided trenching for both residential and commercial customers. Customers are thrilled when we offer to provide trenching, saving them hours of back-breaking labour digging in Winnipeg’s very stiff clay.
