Do you have a building project where an engineer or building official is requiring your to perform costly testing of the foundation piles to ensure that they will support the required load? Or, have you been told you need to perform a costly soil test so that engineers can design a suitable foundation plan?
Are you a construction company or general contractor who is bidding on a project which requires thousands of dollars invested in engineering to develop a solid foundation plan before you have even been confirmed as a successful bidder?
If you answered yes to the questions above, one local piling contractor, Postech Winnipeg, might be able to save you some money.
Postech Winnipeg installers use equipment which features a calibrated torque gauge. With our engineered allowable capacities charts, we can quickly confirm a pile’s allowable load based upon the torque reading we achieve. Using our Manitoba engineer stamped charts, if we can achieve the necessary torque to guarantee the necessary capacity, then you’re good to go. If the required torque isn’t achieved, we can try again using a steel screw pile with larger helical or we can add extensions to the test pile and continue driving deeper until the desired capacity can be guaranteed.
After tests are complete, we easily remove the test pile(s) which can be re-used at a later date; this again adds to the cost savings.
A general test, where we install a test pile and monitor and confirm torque, may be performed at a cost as low as $250.00 + GST.
Low cost reliable testing is just one way we’ve raised the bar for Winnipeg piling contractors. For a free quote, please call Postech Winnipeg at 1 (855) 474-5464 (4-PILING) or locally at (204) 793-0653 or visit www.screwpiling.ca.
