Solar Motion Activated LED Light Standards – An Off-Grid Lighting Solution

Are your employees complaining about that dark work site out in the middle of no-where?

Are you looking for an off-the-grid lighting solution?

Do you have an area of your yard or compound where you would like to increase security with effective lighting?

Postech Winnipeg has a motion-activated LED light standard which is solar powered and that can be installed in nearly any location using an environmentally-friendly process and technology.

The solar powered, motion-activated LED light standard above provides light to two railway switches in a location where it would be extremely difficult to hard-wire lights.  The light is supported by a Postech Thermal Pile (insulated helical screw pile) installed to an 8 foot depth with a 2.78 inch 21 foot pole which overlaps the pile by 4 feet, providing up to 19 feet of above grade height.

The location of the light arm and solar panel is easily adjusted up or down using u-bolts.  Each fixture can be custom built to suit your particular needs – the light above has a custom 4 foot light arm that is the perfect length to project the lights at an angle which minimizes shadows from the railway switches without risking contact with passing trains and rail-equipment.

Note that the light standard featured above is purely for utility purposes.  We can provide prettier solutions when aesthetics are important.

If you would like a free, no-obligation quote on a utility light standard for nearly any location, please call 204.793.0653 or visit www.manitobascrewpiles.ca.
